I am Tom's Uncle, Mark. I am a recovering alcoholic and have been sober since Aug. 4th 1999 by the grace of God. I have also been blessed by God's mercy, undeservingly.
My life's motto went from, "work hard and play hard," to "do the next right thing".
Thank you Tom, for your currageous testimony, you are an Apostle of Christ in this act. Keep on, keeping on. Carry your cross and help others carry thiers. May God bless all of you, Amen.

WOW, that was incredible!! I had to be away for family matters in Michigan, this will however stay with me forever and I am SO proud to have Tom as my Son. This will help me immensely with the difficult road I am about to embark on.

God Bless,
Teri

What a great explanation, Les! I haven't heard that one before. I really appreciate you leaving a comment.

I see your name show up on Facebook every now and then, but am glad to have direct contact. And I, too, hope you had a really blessed Christmas and have a great new year!

Hi Gretchen,

I'd never read this survivor's account, thanks much for sharing it. Hope you and Terry had a great Christmas, and Happy New Year to you both.

The best explanation I know for John's verses is that it's a Creation story for his Greek readers. Jesus is the Logos, which to them meant the Pattern that God {spoke, sang, danced, performed} in order to create the Universe. It's as though I molded the perfect Golden Arches, and by creating that logo I instantly created the entire McDonald's Corporation, all the many franchises around the world and all the billions of burgers they have served/will serve in the future.

Visualizing the Universe being created in this way by God is not any more difficult to me, than visualizing the Big Bang - maybe they are really the same thing anyway, just with different time perspectives.

Take care, God bless...Les Siewert

I love being able to read or listen to the sermons when I am not able to attend church and even when I have attended and they have been so personnally moving it is wonderful to be able to listen once again.
Thank you for this ministry.

Very nice Gretchen, I stayed home today as to not share my dreadful sickness with anyone. I must say, this is a very impressive feature to have on our site.
